STEVE DEASY: Contemporary Singer-Songwriter. Great guitar. Great vocals. Great song-writing about peace - justice - love and other assorted socially conscious issues. Satire and humor abound!

I met Steve at the International Folk Alliance Conference in Memphis this past February. As we chit-chatted, I learned he had family in the Tampa area that he planned to visit this summer. When I returned home, I checked out his websites and youtubes and read about his background and listened to his music. I subsequently contacted him and invited him to do a house concert while he was in the area. He accepted. Thus we've got a house concert a'happenin' on Wed July 22. We hope you'll join us.

A review from a recent house concert: "... his original songs are about Detroit, life, social justice and peace. Steve's songwriting has been recognized by the Music To Life and the Great Lakes Songwriting competitions. He is quite the entertainer, knows how to be serious and how to have fun with his music. He played one instrumental which was very much like a ragtime piece that was very interesting, and some of his other compositions were beautifully done, with unusual chord structures that tickled and surprised and soothed. Ah! Music! It delights the soul!... "

Christine Lavin recently did a Caberfeidh Productions Concert at the Pinellas Park Performing Arts Center, during which she talked about a book she has written. The book includes an index of 1000 songs she has played on the radio. Included in the book is Steve's song "Let Me Make Peace." Per Christine: "I love that song!"
