Other Info
This is a special Monday night version of the Fabulous Fashionable Ferndale House Concert, which I am calling the Anti-Monday Night Football Edition.

Featured performer will be Evan Greer, a queer social justice focused singer/songwriter, community organizer, and workshop facilitator based in Boston. Evan is flying into Detroit on his way to National Coming Out Week Events at Albion College, and we are thrilled to be able to host Evan on the way.

Check out Evan's site at www.evangreer.org. There are mp3s you can listen and download if you click on "Lyrics and MP3s". At least listen to "Picket Line", "Ya Basta!" but it is all great stuff.

There will be three open mic slots to open the show. I may play a song or two.

Email me at stevedeasy@hotmail.com or call 248-990-5268 for information, address and directions and/or to RSVP or if you are interested in one of the open mic slots.

Arrive anytime after 7pm and we will start around 7:30

ROY ZIMMERMAN'S "FUNNY SONGS AND BAD ADVICE"
Roy Zimmerman’s new show “Funny Songs and Bad Advice” contains plenty of both. In thirteen albums over twenty years, Roy Zimmerman has brought the sting of satire to the struggle for Peace and Social Justice. His songs have been heard on HBO and Showtime. He has recorded for Warner/Reprise Records. Zimmerman’s YouTube videos have amassed over seven million views. He’s been profiled on NPR’s “All Things Considered,” and he’s a featured blogger for the Huffington Post. The world is full of funny songs, but Zimmerman’s hilarious, rhyme-intensive originals are also incisive calls to action, smart, savvy and undeniable.
