A jazz/blues opera about events during the depression when workers were trying to organize and the questionable death of union organizer/ Methodist minister Lewis Bradford. In the play Steve plays Joe Cantor, an unemployed auto worker; Joe Bussell, who was killed in the Ford Hunger March; a member of the worker's chorus; and a member of Father Coughlin's "Hour of Power" choir. The play is directed by Elyse Bryant, has great songs and score by Steve Jones, great grand-nephew by marriage of Rev. Bradford, musical director is Bill Meyer. I could go on and on about how exited I am to be part of this cast and how much I love this show, but I don't want to bore you anymore than I already have.
The Forgotten play is this Friday March 26, 7:30pm at Macomb Center for the Performing Arts. If you plan to get tickets or for more information go to http://www.macombcenter.com/ and you should find it there. More info can also be found at the show website www.forgottenshow.net . There is also a dress rehearsal on Wednesday, March 24 that is free and open to the public. It should start at the same time, 7:30pm. There is a pdf with a flyer for the show at http://stevedeasy.com/?p=435
