Steve Deasy – show in Pontiac, Fri. 2/19/10 & Banjo Jokes
Just a reminder about the show in Pontiac this Friday. For info see below. I know in my original note the other artist was going to be Barb Barton from Lansing, but they must have changed it, and it will be someone called Banjo Jim and Ricky. Which puts me in mind of two banjo jokes:
Question: How will we know that the stage is level on Friday?
Answer: Banjo Jim will be drooling out of both sides of his mouth.
Question: How will we be able to tell if Ricky has perfect pitch?
Answer: If he can toss the banjo into the dumpster from 20 yards out and hit Mark Iannace’s accordian. &
I’m looking forward to meeting Banjo Jim and Ricky and seeing you all there.
Peace,
Steve

Steve Deasy cast in the Jazz-Folk Opera, “Forgotten”
…as Joe Cantor, an unemployed auto worker. The show chronicles the trials and tribulations of Joe Cantor….well, actually, mine is a supporting role. The show is really about:
Set in the 1930s, the jazz/blues opera chronicles the unionization of the Ford Motor Company, with the story focusing on the questionable 1937 death of union organizer and Methodist minister Lewis Bradford.
For more information about the play check out the play website:

I am excited about being part of this show. The music by composer Steve Jones is great, and I am so looking forward to working with musical director Bill Meyer, who is an amazing musician. Save the date, Friday, March 26, 2010. I will post more about this as the date draws closer.
Peace,
Steve
Two cow jokes
Actually, I have two, two cow jokes, which technically makes this a quad cow post.
First two-cow joke:
Two cows are standing in a field. One says to the other, “What do you think about this mad cow disease?”
“What do I care?”, says the other. “I’m a helicopter.”
And, finally, the second two-cow joke:
Two cows are standing in a field. One turns to the other and says, “Although pi is usually abbreviated to five decimal places, it actually goes on to infinity.”
The second cow turns to the first and says, “Moo.”
Hope you are well,
Steve
